The gun is marked as follows:  gevaerfabriken  kj0benhaven-1901   #55582   M.89

I am an auctioneer and have found it in an Estate.

You have described the markings on one component of a Danish Model 1889 Krag. More detail and/or photos would help determine if the rest of it is original or has been modified/replaced.
