I'm slightly interested and it goes off tomorrow, but if you will, check the 1899 Carbine on Gunbroker #292619045 and tell me what you think the top dollar value might be. Looks refinished. I am concerned about the marks on the barrel/

Certainly could have been refinished, but not bad-looking for the price. Butt-plate isn't brass, no matter what he says. Only flaw I can see is that muzzle crown doesn't look quite right, but that could just be damage. Sometimes, pictures tell you all you need to know, in this case, considering the attractive (if arm is real) price, they fall a little short - for example, in some views the front sight base looks OK, in others its' a bit iffy.
