I posted this photo in 2011 as "Buying Krags in the 1900's" - last replied to on 11/11/11. Take a look.

The photo appeared on a 1909, postcard sized, calendar that was auctioned on ebay a couple of years ago.  The calendar was an advertisement for a company that made wooden shipping boxes.  I forget the company name and location.  The photo was edited to eliminate the calendar and firm part.  The girl has a nice smile, nice teeth, and a nice 1899 Krag Carbine with a 1902 Carbine sight.  (Some women have everything)!

I found the complete photo!  There is a publishing company trademark on the photo but I can't make it out.

I suppose the add line "Let us have a crack at your requirements" was a play on crack shot.  Kind of an Annie Oakley theme.

In those more genteel days, I'm sure that is what was meant, today, maybe not so much.
