I bought what was described by the seller as a Sporterized 1896 Krag.  I need a front sight, a front barrel band with sling swivel, and a butt plate.  Can anyone help?  I have pictures that I can email if you give me your email address.  I’m going to try to upload them to the forum.  If you don’t see them then let me have your email address so I can send them to you.  My email address is GJSCHUETZ@GMAIL.COM.  Thanks very much.

'Keemasabee': It appears your barrel muzzle was 'stepped' and notched to accept a 1903 Springfield 'banded' front-sight and cross-pin. This sight and the Krag barrel-band and swivel show up on ebay, often. (Search Krag and 1903 Springfield).

The butt plate will be a harder problem to solve, since it appears about 1 inch has been cut off your Stock Butt. This changes the dimensions and contour, so that an original plate will no longer fit. Your best bet might be to have a classic Pachmayr rubber butt-plate fitted.
