Not a Krag rear-sight, but, still interesting.
This item sold on ebay today for $37 and I'm sure that was a good buy.
The seller did not know the origin of the rear-sight. I suspect it is for one of the model 1895 Winchester Military 'lever-guns'.
Does any one know what make and model rifle this sight is for?

Maybe. It looks similiar to my m1895 rear sight but my rifle has steps marked 200, 300, 500 and 700 with the ladder going up 8 (800) to 18 (1800) yards.
