i have # 472051 (October 1903) and # 333818 (July 1901) both 1898's

i have Joe Poyer's book so the mfg. dates are from that.
Any other history would be toooo cool.

'jay' - No SRS 'hits' on those serial numbers.

Dating assembly of a Krag, by serial number, is always an approximation.

Photos of your Krags may beget more information.

thanks for looking.
One of mine is a sporterized and the other is a barreled receiver with some added parts. lol

the second is a work in progress. i am trying to put it back to a full 1898 rifle.
