is anyone here versed in the dismantling and re-assembly of the 1901 rear sight?

Specifically how does one replace the binding knob as it seems to be captive. The binding knob on the slide.

Also, how does one replace the plate with the aperture?  I have one where that plate is not properly placed within the slide.
