We will need more info to help. Model year, barrel length, sight configuration, length/handguard, to start with. Pictures will be a big help!

Model and serial number should be stamped on the left side of the receiver on a US Krag
There is a sticky on the top of the main page about posting pictures.
There is a photo section on the KCA home page that might help you with basic ID

Taz,  The model year and serial number will be stamped in the receiver just like in the photo of my 1898.  Hope this picture helps.
