I need your help identifying my 30/40 Craig saddle ring carbine serial number is 68339. I would like to know what year it was made. And what it would be worth.

Welcome!!
Firstly, it's Krag, not Craig.
From the serial number, it definitely appears to be an original carbine, rather than a cut-down rifle. It was made in 1897.
How about some more pictures (MUCH smaller format) including overall views and good shots of both the front and rear sights?
