Interesting. I've been watching youtube videos myself recently because I have shot them also. Fun but very magazine sensitive. Certainly it is a waste of ammo with these fun guns!

They were made almost entirely by women. Cost like $6 a piece to make. Can't get them that cheap now.

Hickok45 has a video on this which is fun to watch.

What's the deal with Michigan and asparagus?!? Can not pick it or buy it at the store? I mentioned on another forum, that means more for the rest of us. What's not to like, more of a tasty health promoting vegetable.

Krag connection? you could carry a Krag for protecting oneself from bears while picking wild asparagus?

It's not Asparagus season, yet, in Michigan???

This morning it is 30 degrees and snow flurries in S.E. Michigan.

Forgot you all were that far behind us as to seasons. It got real cold here the last couple of days, down to 45F for couple of mornings, did not even bother covering the tomatoes. Will plant some okra pretty soon when it warms up some more. Okra really loves the heat. When it starts producing the only way to stop it is to kill it. With just a few plants last year we had all we needed and kept several friends supplied also.

This year will be a good year to plant even more stuff to keep grocery store visits down. Seems counter productive to limit visiting the garden supply store. I went a few weeks ago to get the tomato and pepper plants and it was not crowded as I was expecting. I guess millienals do not know you can grow your own vegetable. Shh! Do not tell them or they will make a run on the seeds!

I would plant my own food but I can't
find any bacon seeds at the farm and fleet.

In the wrong part of the country you do not need seeds, bacon pops up spontaneously. This was taken years ago just a stone throw from where we built the house. So far we have mostly fenced them out with only an occasional intrusion.
Stopping planting peanuts has been the biggest change. In the first 10 years here we killed over 300 pigs. After a while we would not bother processing them especially if they were killed too late at night or boars weighing over 80 lbs. Boars weighing over 100lbs are still edible but life is too short to put up with eating something you do not enjoy. (The meat stinks unless the boar has been castrated for at least a month)

Dang, Fred!

You have a Golden Opportunity for a new business.

You could call it "Macon Bacon Masks".

Wednesday, a lot of people protested aspects of the Michigan Governor's 'Quarantine Restrictions'.

Governor Gretchen Whitmer was not very understanding or sympathetic.

She simply scowled and demanded their shoes!

Felt like watching some "The Rifleman" show with Chuck Connors for nostalgia and relaxing getting my mind off recent events as I've worked the last 6 days (bragging or complaining?). But it is hard to do. I guess it has been a way of life for many years, but with all the vaccines we have had sicknesses haven't been as worrisome.
